July 30, 2010 - Heritage Place Futurity (G1) winner Givinitaroyaleffort worked 220 yards in :11.92 at Ruidoso Downs on Thursday morning in preparation for an expected start in the trials to the $2 million-est. All American Futurity presented by Sentient Jet (G1).
The 440-yard All American Futurity trials will be contested on August 19 with the finals on Labor Day. The horses with the 10-fastest times from the expected 20-plus trials qualify to race for Quarter Horse racing's richest first-place check of $1 million.
Givinitaroyaleffort's work was the fastest time from six 2-year-olds who worked that distance in that morning.
Owned by LMR 2010 and trained by Edward Ross Hardy, Givinitaroyaleffort won the $1 million Heritage Place Futurity on May 29, his most recent start. He won by a head over Knuckles O Toole and Llano Teller at 25-1 odds. Givinitaroyaleffort has raced three times and earned $422,218.
The First Down Dash-sired Givinitaroyaleffort is the No. 3 ranked 2-year old in the AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com poll behind American Runaway and Hes Too Icy For Me, the top-two finishers in last Sunday's $625,000 Rainbow Futurity (G1).
